List of Opportunities
Set-up/Tear
Down - Volunteers will help with all aspects of set-up and tear
down for the event. Set-up
will take place beginning at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, August 1.
Volunteers may be asked to mark courts, set-up hoops, hang
banners, place signs, or a myriad of other tasks necessary to allow
us to begin play and open the festival on Saturday morning. Teardown will commence at the close of the event ( 5:00 PM, Sunday, August 3).
Beverage
Service - Volunteers will sell non-alcoholic beverages (soda,
water, etc.). This will
involve stocking beverage stations, displaying product,
opening/closing inventories, selling product, handling cash and
making change.
Team
Registration/Scorekeepers - Work with a scoring manager,
volunteers will collect team scores, maintain/update team stats and
game schedules. Prior
to tournament open on Saturday, volunteers will hand out team
packets and handle team check-in.
Volunteer
Tent - Check-in volunteers, direct volunteers to assigned
location, ensure that all volunteer duties are covered each shift,
and deliver water to volunteers, as needed.
Souvenirs/Information
- Serve as greeters and provide information to the public, hand
out site maps and give directions, sell souvenirs, handle cash and
make change.
Kidz
Kourt - Help with games and activities in the Kidz Kourt area.
Floater
- Fill-in as needed for breaks or when any area requires
additional volunteer help.
Logistics - Assist with everything to from helping stock beverage service, picking up trash and raising/lowering hoops.
